Role Purpose Responsible for driving regional sales growth for the food ingredient portfolio—including spice and plant extracts, oleoresins, nutraceuticals, antioxidants, and other bio-ingredients—in key markets across Italy & Spain (potentially including the USA). This role blends strategic business development, key account management, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to expand market share among food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, flavour and fragrance companies, and co-packers. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets in the assigned territory. - Drive new business development with food manufacturers, ingredient distributors, and strategic partners, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. - Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and regulatory developments to identify business opportunities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries, proposals, technical support, and delivery coordination. - Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer solutions that meet performance, cost, and compliance requirements. - Promote product portfolio through technical presentations, product trials, and application support, highlighting value propositions such as clean label, natural origin, sensory benefits, and shelf-life enhancement. - Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and maintain CRM documentation; keep leadership informed on market insights, risks, and opportunities. Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field. - 5–8 years’ sales experience in food ingredients, plant extracts, oleoresins, flavours, botanicals, or related B2B ingredient sectors. - Proven history of meeting sales goals and developing new business in Italy, Spain, or other European markets. Skills & Competencies: - Strong commercial acumen with consultative sales and negotiation skills. - Solid technical understanding of food ingredient applications and product benefits. - Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills; fluent English required, with Italian or Spanish highly preferred. - Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
