Overview
An UHNW international family based in Rome is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Private Chef for a long-term position. This is a dynamic and rewarding role, combining family-focused daily cooking with high-level, fine dining cuisine for entertaining.
The family is described as warm, down-to-earth, and a pleasure to work with. They are looking for a chef who values longevity, discretion, and collaboration, and who will integrate seamlessly into a well-established household team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare daily meals for the family:
* Breakfast (approx. 7:00am)
* Lunch (1:30–2:00pm)
* Dinner (approx. 8:00pm, sharing-style service)
* Cook daily staff meals for 6–7 people (simple, healthy dishes)
* Deliver fine-dining cuisine when hosting and entertaining guests
* Create diverse, high-quality menus across a wide range of cuisines
* Japanese / Sushi
* Asian
* French
* Manage full kitchen operations
* Menu planning
* Ingredient sourcing and shopping
* Building and maintaining supplier relationships (with a farm-to-table approach)
* Organise and execute private events and family celebrations, including coordination with external suppliers
* Collaborate with the Estate Gardener regarding seasonal produce and kitchen garden planning
* Independently manage kitchen prep, timings, and daily schedule
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Private Chef and/or fine dining / Michelin-trained background
* EU passport holder
* Willingness to travel with the family for 1–2 weeks per year
* Calm, organised, and adaptable under pressurePositive, engaging personality with a team-oriented mindset
* Passion for hospitality, entertaining, and creating exceptional dining experiences
