LANXESS Italy is seeking motivated and talented individuals with sales and technical experience for the position of Senior Sales Manager Material Protection Products – Industrial Business line portfolio (MPP BU). Location : Italy, Via San Bovio 1 / 3 20090 Segrate, Milano Home based / external. Geographical scope : Italy (travel expected within Europe). The product range focuses on paints & coatings and construction chemicals markets. Main Responsibilities : Under the BU MPP strategy, the Senior Sales Manager will develop customer strategies and business cases to drive BU MPP Sales Biocides growth in the Industrial business line. Key responsibilities : Lead MPP IND sales in Italy and Greece. Maintain and grow existing customer portfolios with technical and regulatory support. Identify new opportunities and potential clients (lead generation). Visit customers to assess needs and promote products/services. Support partners/distributors. Provide or facilitate customer training and technical assistance, including hygiene audits and product use presentations. Manage customer data quality. Collaborate with technical marketing, R&D, regulatory, and sales teams. Negotiate prices, volume targets, and financial terms. Provide sales forecasts and contribute to budgeting. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and communicate market needs internally. Report using CRM and business cases. Oversee local MPP Industrial activities and team. Knowledge and Experience : Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or related field. Over 10 years of successful sales experience in the chemical or related industries. Knowledge of industrial biocides and biocidal product regulation is essential. Previous team management experience. Willingness to travel within Italy and EMEA. Native Italian speaker with excellent English skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Result-oriented approach.
