Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Finance Intern to join our European Commercial Finance team. This role offers hands‐on exposure to commercial finance in a global life sciences organization, combining day‐to‐day financial support with ownership of a Europe‐wide OPEX process improvement project.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Finance & Business Support
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the European commercial organizationContribute to quarterly forecasts across revenue, margins, backlog, cash, and related KPIsPrepare financial analyses and presentations for monthly and quarterly leadership reviews
Reporting & Performance Management
Assist with management reporting, dashboards, and KPI trackingSupport month‐end and quarter‐end close activitiesAnalyze product profitability, margin trends, and working capital performance
Cross‐Regional Collaboration
Work closely with finance managers across European countries to ensure alignmentParticipate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions
OPEX Process Improvement Project
Lead the documentation and improvement of OPEX governance and expense management processes across EuropeMap current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose standardization opportunitiesDevelop clear guidelines and best‐practice documentationPresent recommendations and outcomes to the Finance Director and broader finance team
Required Qualifications
Recent graduate with a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldStrong analytical skills with solid Excel proficiencyGood understanding of financial and accounting principlesFluent English (written and spoken)Self‐starter with the ability to manage priorities and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internship experience in finance or accountingExposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
