Ph3Experteer Overview /h3pAs a Global Category Manager for Cables, you will shape the procurement strategy for a fast-growing category across Europe and beyond. You’ll lead end-to-end sourcing, supplier performance, and contract management while embedding sustainability and supplier diversity into the strategy. You will work with cross-functional partners to drive value, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with global procurement goals. This role offers meaningful impact through continuous improvement, cost reductions, and resilient supplier networks. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead the global cables category, developing strategic sourcing plans to deliver cost savings and long-term value across Europe /liliManage end-to-end procurement activities: KPI definition, supplier performance, contract negotiations, and compliance tracking /liliDrive make-or-buy decisions, improvement programs, and supplier development to boost efficiency and competitiveness /liliIntegrate sustainability, ESG, and supplier diversity into procurement strategy /liliBuild and maintain strategic supplier relationships (SRM) for resilience, quality, and innovation /liliCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and guide local strategic buyers to align with global goals /liliForecast industry trends and disruptions, enabling de-risking and alignment with product taxonomy to sub-tiers /liliRun category project calls with cross-functional teams and establish a Corporate Category Council /liliSupport continuous improvement with year-on-year productivity gains in Quality, Service Levels, Delivery, and Cost /liliAnalyze spend data and present actionable insights to stakeholders /liliEnsure all suppliers have up-to-date Corporate Supply Agreements (CSA), owned by the incumbent /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering) /liliMaterial control systems and processes background /liliStrong preference for experience managing Cable categories and knowledge of their manufacturing processes /liliSourcing and negotiating with suppliers/service providers with evidenced cost reductions /liliExperience partnering with Global Business units in Americas, EMEA, APAC /liliAbility to establish credibility quickly and influence across the organization /liliStrong influence, communication and change management skills in a matrix environment /liliWillingness to travel internationally up to 30% /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
