This role requires a strong understanding of the local market dynamics, customer landscape, and cultural environment in Southern Italy. /p pThe Area Sales Manager will play a key role in developing the Waste Recycling and Sorting business, ensuring structured sales execution, strong customer relationships, and alignment with TOMRA’s global strategy. /p h3Role and Responsibilities: /h3 ul liImplement and execute a systematic sales management approach across the assigned territory, in close collaboration with the Regional Director Italy. /li liPlan, coordinate, and execute all sales activities in Italy, ensuring consistent pipeline development and order intake. /li liManage sales of capital equipment solutions for Waste Recycling and Sorting, with typical project values ranging from EUR 200,000 to EUR million per order. /li liOwn and manage the area sales budget, including forecasting and performance tracking. /li liEnsure effective internal coordination of processes and structures, working closely with Global Service, Test Center, Project Management, and Business Development. /li liDevelop, coach, and collaborate with the global sales organization, contributing to best‑practice sharing and continuous improvement. /li liExecute TOMRA’s overall company strategy and actively support the Business Development Manager in evaluating and developing new business opportunities. /li liRepresent TOMRA at local and international exhibitions, conferences, and industry events. /li /ul h3Qualifiche /h3 h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years of professional experience within the waste recycling or waste processing industry. /li liProven experience in selling large capital equipment, managing long sales cycles, and/or selling complex technical solutions—ideally within the recycling sector. /li liDemonstrated experience managing key account customers and complex stakeholder environments. /li liBackground in working within an international, matrix‑driven organization. /li liStrong commercial acumen with a customer‑oriented, results‑driven, and entrepreneurial mindset. /li liProven track record in successful contract negotiation, with excellent communication, listening, and analytical skills. /li liGenuine passion for technology, sustainability, and people. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline. /li /ul h3Additional Skills Requirements /h3 ul liStrong appreciation for cultural diversity and willingness to travel extensively; the role is Italy‑based. /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus. /li liAbility to inspire and engage others, communicate a clear vision, and actively involve colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
