Purpose of the Job
Perform activities, under the governance/guidance of the Program Safety Assurance Manager (PSAM), related to safety assurance in Projects and Programs. Activities can relate to Project, System, Software, Hardware domains.
Deliver safe solutions (Program and Projects).
Key Accountabilities
* Coordinate all Safety Assurance activities on the project/system/product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction.
* Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective.
* Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning.
* Support tenders and/or RC teams to integrate product/system in projects.
* Build Safety Reports and/or Safety Cases.
* Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews.
* Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close findings.
* Manage Safety Assurance Engineers involved in the project/system/product (internal or external resources).
* If identified as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue, manage 8D steps as per process.
* Support actions contributing to close the findings of assessors (internal or external).
Essential Skills & Experience
* Mastering CENELEC Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards such as AREMA, IEEE) and safety methodology & concepts/principles.
* Educational Requirements: University Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
* Experience in safety, system, data preparation, hardware or software domain, depending on the specific area.
* Team player, proactive, rigorous, detail-oriented, and with a strong work ethic.
* Sense of anticipation and urgency, structured and organized, resilient under pressure.
* Ability to say “no go” when needed and support/elaborate improvement plans.
