Experteer OverviewAs a Global Category Manager for Cables, you will shape the procurement strategy for a fast-growing category across Europe and beyond. You'll lead end-to-end sourcing, supplier performance, and contract management while embedding sustainability and supplier diversity into the strategy. You will work with cross-functional partners to drive value, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with global procurement goals. This role offers meaningful impact through continuous improvement, cost reductions, and resilient supplier networks.ResponsibilitiesLead the global cables category, developing strategic sourcing plans to deliver cost savings and long-term value across EuropeManage end-to-end procurement activities: KPI definition, supplier performance, contract negotiations, and compliance trackingDrive make-or-buy decisions, improvement programs, and supplier development to boost efficiency and competitivenessIntegrate sustainability, ESG, and supplier diversity into procurement strategyBuild and maintain strategic supplier relationships (SRM) for resilience, quality, and innovationCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and guide local strategic buyers to align with global goalsForecast industry trends and disruptions, enabling de-risking and alignment with product taxonomy to sub-tiersRun category project calls with cross-functional teams and establish a Corporate Category CouncilSupport continuous improvement with year-on-year productivity gains in Quality, Service Levels, Delivery, and CostAnalyze spend data and present actionable insights to stakeholdersEnsure all suppliers have up-to-date Corporate Supply Agreements (CSA), owned by the incumbentQualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering)Material control systems and processes backgroundStrong preference for experience managing Cable categories and knowledge of their manufacturing processesSourcing and negotiating with suppliers/service providers with evidenced cost reductionsExperience partnering with Global Business units in Americas, EMEA, APACAbility to establish credibility quickly and influence across the organizationStrong influence, communication and change management skills in a matrix environmentWillingness to travel internationally up to 30%
