Markem-Imaje provides fully integrated solutions that enhance product quality and safety, ensure regulatory and retailer compliance, facilitate product recalls, and improve manufacturing processes. The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Markem-Imaje’s solutions to customers in Italy. The role involves managing all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and new business development to opportunity management. Key Responsibilities: Understand the business strategies of target accounts, focusing on serialization initiatives, especially the UniSecure solution. Act as the primary contact within target accounts for positioning and selling Markem-Imaje’s Serialization Product Tracking solutions. Develop and execute an annual business plan to guide and measure progress and success. Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and communications. Conduct review sessions and roundtable discussions with target accounts. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor, influencing account strategies related to serialization initiatives. Collaborate with product managers and directors to identify resource needs and product opportunities. Maintain clear communication with customer and Professional Services teams to align expectations and address operational issues. Report regularly to the Sales Director and senior management. Understand product packaging directions within target accounts. Maintain accurate forecasts and account records in our CRM system, and generate sales activity reports. Stay informed on industry trends, company products, and solutions. Qualifications: Experience in consultative selling of solutions combining products and enterprise software services. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions. Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills. Intermediate proficiency in English.
