Francescana at Maria Luigia – Seasonal- Commis/Chef de Rang
Francescana at Maria Luigia restaurant is seeking young and dynamic professionals to join the front-of-house team for the period May–October 2026. Should there be mutual interest, the possibility of a year-round contract will be considered.
Commis
Responsibilities
* Prepare tables
* Organize mise en place under the supervision of the Chef de Rang
* Clean tables and the dining room after service
* Serve dishes to tables and describe them to guests
Requirements
* High school diploma
* At least one year of experience in a similar role
* Excellent command of Italian, good command of English
* Strong communication skills
* Enthusiasm, motivation, and flexibility
Chef de Rang
The Chef de Rang is responsible for the service and the section assigned to them.
* Oversees all stages of service
* Frequently takes orders and maintains cordial relationships with guests
* Typically supported by a Commis de Rang
Key Accountabilities
* Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and strong organizational abilities
* Strong aptitude for building relationships and effective communication
* Responsible for the mise en place of assigned tables and other tables under service
* Supervises the cleanliness of the restaurant
* Capable of managing any front-of-house activity, including lunches, dinners, and banquets
* Ensures meticulous attention to detail and aesthetic presentation in service
* Adapts to guests’ needs and provides recommendations based on their preferences
* Fluent in Italian and English
