Job responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Central Visual Merchandiser contributes in defining VM’s Guidelines for Product display according to Brand’s Strategy, both in terms of Image and business objectives collaborating with Product Design Studio and Corporate Merchandising dept with synergetic approach.
He/she ensures the conception and development of Corporate Visual Guidelines addressed to the Retail network. He/she’s also the point of reference of Regional Visual Merchandising teams, supporting and reviewing their implementations.
Key Activities:
Guidelines and Visual Book
1. Defines, together with Global Visual Merchandising Director and liaising continuously with Product Design Studio and Merchandising Dept, all the guidelines (seasonal and ad hoc) for Product display in stores .
2. Coordinates and actively contributes to the seasonal Visual Book shooting making and edit.
3. Defines VM trainings materials to the assigned markets.
4. Works on styling sessions for mannequins looks.
Merchandising & Retail
5. Works with the Merchandising Coordinators to ensure Brand image consistency within the assigned markets, acting as a single point of contact
6. Works on Visual Merchandising guidance and solutions based on sales needs that satisfy both business needs and Brand image
7. Possesses the complete Collection Knowledge for the season
8. Partners weekly with Merchandising to understand and analyze business flows.
9. Travel periodically to the assigned markets for training, new opening or market visits.
Openings
10. Coordinates the team of his/her allocated Areas for new opening and renovations reviewing floor plan with Central and Regional VM teams, collaborating with Store Planning, to ensure stores are correctly zoned and merchandised.
11. Need also to be in touch with central and Regional merchandising teams to ensure best product offer for store’s set up.
12. Provides feedback during prototype stage on all modifications required for correct product presentation
Showroom and Presentations
13. Coordinates and takes actively part to the setup of all Showrooms and Product Presentations for Corporate, Retail and Wholesale.
14. During the buying sessions, Monitor the uniformity of windows product worldwide ensuring consistency with Brand image.
15. Identifies key Visual Merchandising looks and product focus in agreement with Product and Merchandising dept.
Profile
16. + 5 years Visual Merchandising experience with a strong aesthetic sensitivity
17. University degree in an Art, Design or Business (i.e. marketing/fashion management) based field preferred
18. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment
19. Strong Product Knowledge on RTW standards and styling
20. Experience in Product presentations
21. Aligned to the Brand identity
22. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
23. Personal drive and result oriented
24. Proactivity in proposing new solutions or exit the comfort zone
25. Project Management skills
26. A flexible and dynamic team player
27. Excellent English knowledge
28. Willing to geographical mobility
