O&M Manager - Commercial & Business Development (m / f / d)
Location: Verona, Italy. We are looking for a proactive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager with a Commercial & Business Development focus, to be based in Verona, Italy. Join our dynamic O&M team which manages around 75 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity in total, including a battery energy storage system (BESS) project, with a strong drive to add to the portfolio. We are seeking innovative, team-oriented candidates with a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities
* As our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager (Commercial & Business Development), you will manage the commercial aspects of existing O&M contracts and clients (focus on utility-scale projects) and drive O&M business development initiatives to add new O&M projects to the portfolio.
* Report to the Head of O&M – EMEA and collaborate with the O&M Team Leader – Italy. The place of work is our office in Verona.
Business Development
* Formulate O&M sales strategies and be responsible for implementing them.
* Achieve the company’s sales targets for third-party O&M services.
* Participate with the EPC Sales Manager in the sales process and contract negotiations of O&M contracts from the EPC + O&M sales stream.
* Negotiate and renew current O&M contracts.
* Manage the overall response process to RFQs.
* Develop and present commercial proposals to clients.
* Monitor market intelligence related to market development, competitive activity, customers, pricing, and services trends.
* Establish, grow and maintain relationships with key clients, existing and potential ones; network at relevant events.
* Commercial management of existing contracts (focused on utility-scale projects).
Commercial Management of existing contracts
* Acquire in-depth knowledge of all contractual requirements and support the O&M team with contractual queries.
* Own all contractual deliverables; develop and update tracking registers to ensure documentation (operational reports, HSE documentation, invoices, etc.) is submitted on time.
* Act as the first point of contact for clients regarding contractual or commercial issues.
* Negotiate with clients on additional work/variation orders, manage quotations & invoicing.
* Manage client claims from a commercial perspective.
* Coordinate with suppliers and O&M subcontractors on pricing, commercial terms, warranty claims, etc., in cooperation with the O&M Team Leader.
* Budgeting & forecasting (including monthly budget tracking).
* Support the O&M Team Leader and the O&M Team with other tasks, including O&M and/or revamping activities in the portfolio in Italy.
* Act as a replacement for the O&M Team Leader when needed.
Your energy is required
* Engineering or commercial educational background.
* At least 7 years’ experience in managing O&M or EPC contracts of PV plants or other power plants.
* At least 5 years’ experience managing sales of O&M or EPC services for PV plants or other power plants, with a strong track record.
* Experience in construction, commissioning, or O&M of utility-scale PV plants (>20 MWp single plant) is a plus.
* Experience with corporate clients / large IPPs is a plus.
* Very good IT skills, especially MS Excel.
* Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
* Ability to remain under control and perform under pressure; ability to work under limited supervision.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills; good administrative and reporting skills.
* Willing to travel domestically or internationally (about 10%).
* Valid driver’s license.
