Our client is a global industrial group in the automotive sector, recognized for its excellence in manufacturing technologies and committed to delivering quality and innovation across international markets.On behalf of this esteemed Client, we are looking for aCOUNTRY GENERAL MANAGERPurpose of the RoleReporting directly to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Business Unit in Italy. He/she will ensure the delivery of business results, lead people and process development, drive performance improvement, and promote growth in line with corporate values and objectives.Duties and Responsibilities• Business Strategy PerformanceLead the definition and implementation of the Business Plan and annual Budget, ensuring achievement of key financial and operational targets. Monitor KPIs and make necessary course corrections• Leadership and Team ManagementDirect and support the leadership team (Plant Manager, HR Manager, Quality System Manager, Commercial Manager, IT), fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and development.• Customer Satisfaction and Operational ExcellenceEnsure the delivery of high-quality products and customer experiences. Address and solve customer concerns proactively, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and Lean practices.• Business Development and Sales GrowthIdentify and lead strategic initiatives for business growth, including the development of new markets and customer relationships. Responsible for increasing sales performance• Cross-functional CoordinationDrive integration and alignment between departments, including production, quality, HR, and commercial operations. Supervise resource allocation and manage forecasting and planning processes.• Legal and Corporate RepresentationAct as the Business Unit’s legal representative and serve as its public and institutional face when required, ensuring the company image and reputation are upheldRequirements• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field. An MBA is considered an advantage• Minimum of 10 years of experience in international industrial companies of the automotive sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Strong background in manufacturing operations, especially in tooling, stamping, and welding assembly environments. Previous experience in Tier 1 automotive suppliers is strongly preferred• Thorough understanding and practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, FMEA, PM Systems, pull systems, and material flow optimization.• Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
