Location: Roma, ItalyThales people architect solutions at the heart of the defence-security continuum. Interoperable and secure information and telecommunications systems for defence, security, and civil operators, are based upon innovative use of radiocommunications, networks, and cybersecurity. We are ground breaking new digital technologies such as 4G mobile communications, cryptography, cloud computing and big data for use in physical protection systems, and critical information systems.Roma hosts the commercial offices to be close to Costumer and Public Administration.

TheSalesManager works closely to theSalesDirector and reports to him.

He/she will join theSalesdepartment, being in charge of theBusiness DevelopmentandSalesto assure the aimed Order Intakes with the associated Gross Margin.

TheSalesManager will be accountable for:

1. Keep relationship with Domestic Customer both from Public and Private areas with a specific focus on Defense sector with particular focus on the Cyber areas.
2. Make allpre-sales activities(promoting Thales solutions in the Defense sector, identifying and qualifying the opportunities) in close relationship with the Defense KAM organization,
3. Be the leader of a pluri-disciplinary Capture team defined and aimed to pursuit specific business opportunities; He/she shall produce, deliver, and negotiate Thales offers till contract signature
4. Closely track opportunity target in close collaboration with the partner network
5. Ultimately take profitable orders within his area
6. Perform internal commercial reporting
7. Provide internal marketing support (collecting market needs, trends, competitor information)

TheSalesManager key responsibilities will include:

8. Capacity to familiarize quickly with the Thales portfolio of solution
9. Identify and grow opportunities within the area of responsibility
10. Manage selected opportunities
11. Manage customer relations in own area of activity with the aim of increasing order intake (OI) in the short to medium term
12. Assure the OI aimed to be booked within the year end
13. Sales Operationsand Support
14. Forecasting, analyzing, reporting and coordinating bids and reviews
15. Participate and facilitate business winning reviews
16. Support marketing activities participating to trade shows, seminar & conferences

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

17. A minimum 3 years of experience in complex business withItalianMOD
18. Familiarity with Cyber solutions and requirements.
19. A good understanding of the IT world and the cyber threats.
20. Understanding ofItalianMODprocurement processesand budget allocation

QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

21. Preference for a Graduate in Economics, Engineering or Computer Sciences. Other types of University degrees will be considered if overall profile is pertinent to the position.
22. Fluent verbal and writtencommunication skillsinEnglish,French languageis a plus
23. Able to effectively achieve objectives with teamwork
24. Must have had relevant professional or personal “abroad” experience

35. Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio…)
