About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished business development consultant with proven expertise in the luxury leather goods sector to drive strategic expansion across European markets. The role focuses on developing new partnerships and expanding our client portfolio with emerging and established luxury brands.
Responsibilities
- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Design and implement a comprehensive market‑entry strategy targeting luxury leather goods brands in key European markets.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new client partnerships through proactive outreach, industry networking, and strategic relationship building.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation.
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify emerging brands, market trends, and competitive positioning opportunities.
- Strategic Partnership Development
- Establish Yibi Group as the manufacturing partner of choice for luxury brands seeking innovative leather goods hardware solutions.
- Build and nurture C‑level relationships with key decision‑makers in the luxury leather goods industry.
- Represent Yibi Group at major industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
- Develop tailored partnership proposals that address specific client needs and business objectives.
- Client Relationship & Technical Advisory
- Serve as the primary business contact for prospective and existing clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Facilitate technical discussions between clients and our engineering teams, translating client requirements into feasible manufacturing solutions.
- Provide strategic advice on product development, material selection, and manufacturing processes based on deep industry knowledge.
- Act as a cultural liaison, bridging business practices between European clients and our manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Proven Business Development Track Record – 10+ years in business development, strategic sales, or partnership management within the luxury leather goods sector, with demonstrated success in new client acquisition.
- Industry Credentials – Mandatory experience with at least one of the following leading luxury maisons: Chanel, Dior, Bvlgari, Fendi, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Montblanc, CELINE.
- Sales Achievement – Documented history of exceeding business development targets and expanding market presence.
- Industry Network – Established, high‑level connections within the European luxury leather goods industry that can generate immediate business opportunities.
- Technical Understanding – Strong knowledge of leather goods construction, hardware components, and manufacturing processes.
- Language Requirements – Full professional proficiency in English and either Italian or French.
