Purpose of the job: Primarily responsible for sales in the assigned area for all Sulzer portfolio within the Industrial market. Working with regional sales management and supported by regional and global teams, responsible for developing and executing local strategies for profitable growth, supporting the objectives of the overall business plan. Responsibilities Door-to-door visits or scheduled appointments. Product demonstrations. Order collection and post-sale follow-up. Performance monitoring and reporting. Full order intake, sales and profit responsibility for Italy (Industry). Define local plans and actions for the tactical deployment of the Sulzer Industry business unit sales plan within Italy. Define, develop and execute local plans based on the business strategy to achieve financial and market targets. Provide management feedback on local market conditions, including competitor activity, customer trends, and pump/agitator/compressor investment trends. Homologation of Sulzer as a supplier with key Italian OEMs, EPCs and end users. Execute tendering activities with the local sales support team; supervise and follow up tendering activity; prepare tenders with attention to customer specifications, product selection, pricing, and applicable internal tools and metrics. Negotiations and participation in clarification rounds and kickoff meetings. Supervise order handling, follow up projects from tendering to financial closure, and maintain order backlog for assigned territories/accounts. Plan, direct and control the customer support function in Italy. Develop and foster relationships with selected key customers. Contribute ideas to increase sales effectiveness and participate in company initiatives. Maintain high levels of communication and information sharing with the team. Assist management with reporting (budget, rolling forecast, monthly business report). Ensure compliance with all regulations related to business operations. Understand environmental risks and mitigation measures relevant to the role. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: University degree in Engineering or related field / equivalent education. High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. Demonstrable experience with a CRM (Salesforce preferred). ERP experience (SAP) is a plus. Solid sales experience in the pump industry; in-depth knowledge of pump, agitation and compression businesses. Experience formulating and implementing a local business strategy. Willingness to travel frequently within the country and occasionally in the region. Personal strengths: Product knowledge and ability to answer questions, overcome objections, and build trust. Sales techniques including consultative selling, cross-selling, and up-selling. Time management and independent planning of visits and activities.
