The role is responsible for driving sell-in and sell-out performance, controlling and upgrading the distribution, and strengthening relationships with key accounts while identifying new strategic opportunities.\n\nThis is a field-intensive position requiring constant market presence, strong commercial instinct, and a disciplined, results-driven mindset. The role involves extensive travel and direct client exposure.\n\nThe Role: Wholesale Area Manager – Netherlands \n\nYour Impact\n\nManage and develop the wholesale business across the Netherlands, ensuring qualitative and sustainable growth.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through frequent in-person visits and meetings.\nEvaluate and classify the distribution network in terms of quality, positioning, and penetration.\nIdentify and activate new business opportunities aligned with brand strategy.\nPrepare and manage sales campaigns:\nAppointment scheduling\nBudget definition per client\nOrder supervision and follow-up\nMaintain a detailed customer database with all relevant commercial and financial information.\nAnalyze sell-in and sell-out data, preparing clear after-sales reports.\nDrive and control re-order business.\nEnsure in-store execution, assortment, and brand presentation meet company standards.\nDeliver product trainings and communicate brand strategy to retail partners.\nIdentify and activate local marketing opportunities.\nMonitor shipments, payments, and operational topics with Customer Service and HQ teams.\nTrack competitor activity and market trends.\nQualifications\n\nSkills & Experience\n\n3–6 years of experience in a wholesale or commercial role within premium or luxury fashion.\nStrong commercial instinct and relationship-building capabilities.\nProven ability to operate independently in a field-driven environment.\nDisciplined, results-oriented, and comfortable working outside the comfort zone.\nStrong analytical mindset with advanced Excel and numerical skills.\nSolid understanding of wholesale KPIs and performance drivers.\nExcellent organization and time-management skills.\nClear communication and presentation abilities.\nFluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.\n\nMobility Requirements\n\nMilan-based role with regular presence at HQ.\nTravel required: approximately 50–70% of the time across the Netherlands and for international meetings.\n\nOur Shared Values\n\nAt Stone Island we aren’t led by conventions or trends, but by our own compass.
