About the Role
As the Technical Sales Manager / Sales Engineer you will be responsible for:
Developing relationships with both OEMs (automation machine manufacturers) in Italy and End Users (FMCG manufacturing businesses) in the Middle East and Africa.
Travelling within Italy, Africa and the Middle East with an expectation of spending 30% of your time away from home.
Developing business with new customers (20%) and new projects with existing customers (80%).
Selling to Project Engineer, Director, Procurement Manager, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager and Engineer level.
Securing specifications on new and existing projects, with a typical sales cycle from 6 months to 2 years.
Understanding customer project challenges and providing guidance and input on the best solutions.
