Description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Global Category Buyer – Telecom Security & Control. The position is based in Naples, Italy, and requires a dynamic individual comfortable with both administrative and strategic responsibilities.
Accountabilities
* Support the definition of Category Procurement Strategy for Telecom Security & Control.
* Implement a complete sourcing package and respect project objectives (quality, timing, economics, risks) by leading sourcing activities with bidding/project teams and Category stakeholders.
* Manage contracting skills and relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
Required Skills / Knowledge
* Technical background.
* 1–3 years of procurement experience.
* Cost and commercial acumen.
* Benchmarking and risk management.
* Contracting and agreements expertise.
* Supplier relationship management.
* Negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of statutory policies and organizational processes.
* Supplier qualification processes and methods.
* Vendor rating and supplier monitoring.
* IT tools: Microsoft Office, SAP, e‑Auction, etc.
* Procurement planning methods.
* Reporting capabilities.
* Purchasing processes and procedures.
Education / Qualifications
* University degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, or an equivalent technical background.
Languages
* Good English proficiency (minimum B2).
* Italian language is mandatory.
