This position reports to Service Sales Manager Your role and responsibilities The Service Sales Business Development Manager develops tactical and strategic customer plans to meet financial orders, sales, and margin goals. Responsibilities include growing the ABB EL Services portfolio, identifying and closing orders, and supporting short and long-term business goals. The role involves market access through direct engagement, the ABB Rep Network, OEM, Utility Sales Channels, Distribution Customers, and Direct End-Users. You will implement service sales strategies, focus on penetrating installed bases, and promote upgrade, retrofit, and value-added solutions. The work model is remote (Li-Remote), with candidates preferably located in South Carolina and able to travel within the territory. You will contribute to the Electrification Services division in the southern region. Main responsibilities include: Providing sales leadership through strategy formulation and execution leveraging local operational capabilities and channels. Maintaining and growing service volume at key accounts and ensuring CRM records are current. Establishing strong relationships with ABB Reps and implementing account planning. Collaborating with sales teams to leverage relationships and promote the service portfolio. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience); preferred degrees in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing. Knowledge of electrical power studies, switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relaying, and market sectors. Success in developing new customer volume/trade areas. Industry experience in Marine, Utilities, Manufacturing, Material Handling, Pharmaceutical, Water/Waste Water, Metals, Mining, Pulp and Paper, or Chemical/Petrochemical sectors preferred. In-depth knowledge of industrial and utility applications for services, repairs, and products preferred. Must have work authorization to work in the US.
