You will use your experience with Software as a Service (SaaS), on‑premise software, networking, installation, configuration and the support of highly impactful PoC’s to advance our mission to Protect Life and Accelerate Justice. As a member of the Axon EMEA Sales Engineering Team, you support the sales campaign to communicate the value of and deploy and support evidence capture devices, digital evidence management solutions (SaaS and on‑premise) to Public Safety Agencies across the Southern Europe region. The role is quota‑carrying, customer‑facing, front‑line, influencing product enhancements and the deployment of Axon Enterprise’s products and solutions. /p h3Location /h3 pRome, Italy /p h3Reports To /h3 pSr Manager, Sales Engineering EU /p h3Direct Reports /h3 p0 /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport the technical and value aspects of the sales effort across territory, including impactful technical presentations, architecture design discussions, competitive displacement, proof‑of‑concept engagements, leading RFP/RFI responses, solution demonstrations and technical workshops with customers and partners. /li liSupport the smooth transition of the sales opportunity into successful delivery by our Professional Services and/or Partner network. /li liConsistently research, network and ideate to become the regional “go‑to” resource for future solution opportunities, product roadmap development and thought leadership. /li liPresent and evangelise Axon technical business value propositions at industry events. /li liDevelop in‑depth technical knowledge of AXON and domain expertise within the technology subject area. /li liDocument customer feature requests and issues, providing feedback to sales and product management. /li liProvide support to product test and evaluations. /li liExecute customer site assessments targeting technology infrastructure assessments. /li liTransfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers and colleagues. /li liProactively plan to prevent pre‑ and post‑sales issues to shorten time to revenue. /li /ul h3What You Bring /h3 ul liA natural and enthusiastic aptitude for technology plus the ability to communicate its value using compiled and contextualised stories to anyone from any background. /li liConfidence to own and professionally drive customers to successful outcomes with Axon solutions. /li liA “self‑starter” – ability to identify what tasks need your ownership and when you should collaborate. /li liBachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience. /li liWillingness to travel significantly (70%), including some international travel. /li liMust have a valid Passport and Clean Driving License. /li li8+ years experience as a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer or similar related field. /li liKnowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following specialisations: Digital Video, Mobile communications, IP Engineering, IP security, Embedded Systems, IAM, SaaS. /li liStrong understanding of CCTV systems, VMS, network technologies and IP stack (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Ocularis, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN gateways, proxies). /li liHigh degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centres, and system support. /li liExperience in data integration and data analysis to support an expanding product portfolio. /li liExperience and understanding of large‑scale infrastructure‑as‑a‑service platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack). /li liDemonstrable experience of strong project management for successful PoC’s. /li liFluent native Italian and excellent English language skills essential. /li liEvidence of effectively adding value as a global team member. /li liEvidence of working effectively remotely and independently. /li liKnowledge and experience implementing and managing relational database solutions, particularly Microsoft/Azure SQL – an advantage. /li liPractical knowledge of SAN technologies (EMC, HP 3Par, etc.) – an advantage. /li /ul h3Benefits That Benefit You /h3 ul liCompetitive salary package. /li liGenerous holiday allowance. /li liPrivate healthcare allowance. /li liLearning Development programs. /li liFun and engaging team events. /li /ul h3Important Notes /h3 pThe above job description is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all duties, responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
