And that’s where you come in. /p h3Job Description /h3 h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Senior Compliance Investigator plays a critical role in supporting the integrity and ethical standards of the business by leading complex investigations across multiple regions into potential violations of law, regulation, the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Hitachi Rail policies. This role requires experience in corporate investigations, effective cross‑cultural skills, integrity, discretion, and sound judgement. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liEnsure investigations are conducted in compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and protocols. /li liManage the wing‑to‑wing investigations process including intake reviews, issue triage, investigative strategy, investigation plans, interviews, documentation and evidence review (including forensics where required), and the drafting of detailed investigative reports. /li liMaintain confidential case management protocols including records of investigations and outcomes. /li liOwn related investigation documentation and execute updates in the case management tool and registry, ensuring all files are accurate and updated regularly. /li liPresent findings to management or key stakeholders when requested. /li liCollaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit and other functions as needed to propose corrective action plans. /li liSupport continuous process and data improvement and trend analysis, including but not limited to templates and tools. /li liLead and support training, communications and awareness campaigns to promote a speak‑up culture. /li liUnderstand applicable regulatory and legal requirements linked to whistleblowing and investigations and monitor relevant changes. /li liMentor junior investigators and contribute to team development and a culture of continuous learning. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education And Experience /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Advanced degree in Law, Business, Ethics, Compliance, or a related field. /li liAt least 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, audit or related roles with prior experience conducting investigations. /li /ul h3Skills And Competencies /h3 ul liAbility to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight timelines. /li liStrong analytical, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills with business and financial acumen. /li liOrganised, reliable, and discreet with strong interpersonal and communication skills. /li liAbility to influence and operate within a cross‑cultural context. /li liTeam player, with cultural awareness and curiosity. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), experience with case management tools a plus.
