Known for our entrepreneurial culture, differentiated research and deep distribution network, we specialise in complex and illiquid credit across the capital structure.
We are elevating our Continental European franchise and seek a Head of Institutional Sales to lead our fixed‐income distribution effort. We need an Italian‐speaking MD to lead client coverage and convert ideas into revenue. You will own the commercial growth strategy, build and mentor a high‐performing sales team, and leverage your portable client network to drive revenue across High Yield, Emerging Markets, Distressed & Special Situations, Structured Credit, Loans and Convertibles.
Commercial strategy & P/L ownership – Set the vision and go‐to‐market plan for European credit distribution; Client origination – Leverage and expand your portable network of AMs, HFs, insurers, pensions, banks, PBs and family offices; ensure end‐to‐end coverage including fast‐money and special‐sits accounts in a riskless‐principal execution firm (no prop risk).
Lead client coverage for Italy and Italian‐speaking markets, representing the firm.
Team leadership – Recruit, coach and retain a diverse, high‐performance sales team; embed a culture of integrity, transparency and data‐driven decision‐making.
Originate & close complex credit across HY, stressed/distressed bonds & loans and post‐reorg situations; use hybrids & sub‐Fins where accretive.
Deliver growth – Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth in institutional credit.
Run your commercial book – Craft ideas with Trading & Research, set pricing, coordinate execution and ensure clean, timely settlement—without taking proprietary risk.
Regulatory & risk oversight – Ensure activities comply with MiFID II, AML and all other applicable European regulations; riskless‐principal execution with seasoned legal & settlements support.

~10+ years in institutional credit sales (no IG and/or rates) with at least 5 years managing a team/desk.
~ A strong existing client network and portable, monetisable relationships in HY / stressed / distressed / special sits.
~ Deep product expertise across HY, EM, distressed, special situations and structured credit (CLO, CDO, ABS) (IG / rates flow are not valued).
~ Fluent English and Italian required; additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) highly valued.
