TXT e-Tech Srl, a TXT Group company, is looking for an Avionic HMI System Engineer for its Aerospace & Aviation division, as part of a project to develop avionics for a military training aircraft.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the avionics architecture and drafting the requirements for complex avionics systems and subsystems relating to the graphical interface. In addition, they will be involved in analysing high-level requirements, describing flight manuals and participating in regular meetings with pilots and suppliers, collaborating on the integration phases of the designed functionalities and interacting with all members of the development team (testers, validators, developers and other systems engineers).
Main responsibilities:
Analysis of system specifications and subsystems related to latest-generation HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) in accordance with industry standards;
Definition of subsystem requirements;
Design of high-level requirements;
Drafting of system requirements in accordance with avionics architecture;
Interfacing with equipment suppliers;
Integration activities on aircraft or in the laboratory;
Writing of flight manuals;
Participation in periodic meetings with pilots;
Technical skills required:
Good knowledge of avionics systems;
Good knowledge of system engineering processes;
Experience with the development or definition of HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), preferably for aircraft avionics.
Optional technical skills:
Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS or similar);
Good knowledge of aeronautical standards and communication protocols (e.g. ARINC 429, CAN, MIL1553, RS422, etc.);
Basic knowledge of safety and security applied to aircraft.
The profile is completed by excellent planning and organisational skills, aptitude for teamwork, flexibility and a spirit of collaboration.
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechatronics or similar.
