RQT is recruiting on behalf of a well established group within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events industry. \r\n\r\n\r\n This is a senior leadership role and is strictly suited to candidates with substantial and proven experience within the MICE sector, gained either within a reputable agency environment or within a structured hospitality group operating in meetings and events. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and CEO and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the Italy based team, and ensuring operational excellence in line with Group strategy and financial targets. \r\n\r\n\r\n Strategic Leadership and Business Development \r\n Develop and implement the annual business plan, sales strategy, and budget for the Italy office. \r\n Identify new market opportunities, client segments, and product development areas. \r\n Monitor financial performance and implement corrective measures where required. \r\n Provide structured reporting to Group management on sales, pipeline, and financial performance. \r\n\r\n Sales and Client Relationship Management \r\n Lead the sales function to maximise conversion rates, margins, and long term client value. \r\n Represent the company at international trade fairs, sales missions, and client meetings. \r\n Operations and Service Delivery \r\n Oversee all operational activities to ensure seamless delivery of conferences, incentive groups, and corporate programmes. \r\n Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company quality standards. \r\n Act as senior escalation point for client or operational issues. \r\n Ensure structured planning, risk management, and contingency processes are in place. \r\n Negotiate with key suppliers to secure competitive commercial terms. \r\n\r\n Team Leadership and Governance \r\n Ensure compliance with Group standards, policies, and corporate governance requirements. \r\n Maintain strong internal collaboration across markets. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n This is a senior role and requires significant relevant experience. \r\n\r\n\r\n Strong track record in managing large scale conferences, incentive programmes, and international corporate events. \r\n Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and revenue targets. \r\n Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. \r\n Willingness to travel and represent the company internationally. \r\n\r\n \r\n Applicants must submit details of key projects and portfolios personally managed, including scope, client profile, budget size, and results achieved.
