Job Description
The primary responsibility will be to develop business for our Green Energy portfolio solutions on the wind, solar, and energy savings markets to attain sales and gross margin goals. The role has 100 % customer account responsibility, promoting and selling our products to OEM engineering, maintenance companies, wind and solar field owners.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales development and market penetration at assigned customers.
- Promote high‑end electronic technologies and identify sales opportunities.
- Develop sales and profit growth across the assigned territory.
- Discuss, interpret, review, and provide technical solutions to customer requirements and applications.
- Co‑work with the EMEA sales team to develop unique market strategies for the renewable energy market sectors.
- Analyze customers’ needs, determining modifications and changes needed to fulfill customer requirements for our engineered solutions.
- Plan on‑site travels to install and support customers performing our system solutions (e.g., batteries for pitch control).
- Travel to customers requires 50 % of the time.
- Provide post‑sales technical support, troubleshooting and expertise to the service group and customers as required.
- Keep aware of market changes and trends relating to products in the industry, reporting these to product managers and superiors.
- Proactively participate in engineering meetings to meet the needs of customers.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, trade shows and seminars as required.
- Prepare and submit all required reports, expenses, projections and budgets in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of technical experience or equivalent experience in wind turbine power generation; an electrical engineering degree is a plus.
- Ability to climb turbine towers 100 + m in height approximately 3 – 10 times per month, or as needed.
- Competent climber with tower rescue certification.
- Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier technologies is a plus (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, GE, Nordex, Vestas).
- Experience with integrated circuits, power supplies, and basic programming is a plus.
- Must be able to travel 50 % regionally within Europe (including intra‑EUR) and on a case‑by‑case basis internationally to the US corporate office.
- Solid communication skills and a commitment to continually improve interpersonal communication with customers and suppliers.
- Desire to learn necessary sales skills, techniques and methods to become successful.
