We’re a caring, innovative growth company reimagining a healthier future for people, their pets, and our planet. /ph3Job Overview /h3pThe Hill’s Sales Manager (SM) is responsible for growing Hill’s business (sales, distribution, market share and Brand Recommended Most Often BRMO) in the assigned territory. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition, Hill’s and competitors’ products through company training and self-study. /liliAchieve territory sales targets by managing orders’ collection through effective visits with customers and handling all commercial/financial aspects, engaging internal stakeholders. /liliReview potential of accounts within the territory annually. /liliIdentify new accounts and secure strong presence and endorsement for Hill’s brands. /liliMaintain accurate records in the Hill’s reporting system. /liliLeverage company tools to drive execution (Product Distribution, Detailing material, Staff Feeding, Sampling, Trial, etc.). /liliDevelop deep knowledge of the customers’ business and organization; build a network with key decision makers in the vet practice and specialty pet stores. /liliProvide best‑in‑class professional support (detailing, in‑clinic/store seminars, technical training, merchandising) to reach key stakeholders. /liliIdentify opportunities in the assigned customer base and develop proposals that meet Hill’s and the customer’s needs, leading to BRMO leadership. /liliManage multi‑store customers and specific requirements. /liliEnsure full distribution and active endorsement of Hill’s products by veterinary professionals and store staff. /liliAchieve rapid acceptance, endorsement, and distribution of new products; establish shelf space and adequate inventory within each store. /liliMonitor achievement of territory objectives versus target and develop strategies to address changes in the business environment. /liliRepresent Hill’s at meetings and conferences (trade shows, local/national meetings, client meetings, clinic/store special events). /li /ulh3Education / Experience Required /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Veterinary, Animal Science or equivalent. /liliMinimum 2–3 years of sales experience (nutrition company, veterinary industry, or pharmaceutical company). /li /ulh3Additional Competencies / Skills /h3ulliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). /liliStrong selling skills, ability to persuade, negotiate and finalize agreements. /liliCustomer‑orientation / problem‑solving attitude. /liliExcellent time‑management, planning/priority setting and budgeting skills. /liliProficient computer skills and ability to learn company‑specific tools. /liliFluent in Italian; good English also required. /liliValid driver’s license required. /li /ulh3Working Relationships /h3ulliNo direct reports. /liliReports to Field Sales Manager. /liliWorks closely with Commercial Teams including Marketing and Professional Veterinary Affairs. /li /ulh3Location Travel /h3pModena, Parma and Reggio Emilia; no visa sponsorship. /ph3Our Commitment to Inclusion /h3pWe foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels belonging.
