Position SummaryCommis/Demi Chef/Chef de Rang, Hotel Cervo, Costa Smeralda.Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests; answer menu questions and communicate with the kitchen regarding menu items, wait times, recook orders, and product availability.Follow cycle time guidelines, maintain cleanliness of work areas and tables, clear courses, and crumb tables.Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use.Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees, serving as a role model.Follow company safety and security policies; report incidents and complete safety training.Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, thank guests, and use clear professional language.Support team, achieve common goals, ensure quality standards are met.Physical requirements: read, stand/sit/walk extended period, lift 50 lbs with assistance, manipulate objects, navigate uneven surfaces, stairs, ramps, reach overhead or below knees.Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.License or Certification: None.
