They work efficiently with limited guidance, use technology to solve complex problems, and drive improvements to services and features for their team. /liliIdentify when implementations are not highly available, performant, secure, stable, maintainable, or have defects; determine short- and long-term mitigations and provide data for capacity and efficiency management. /liliLead team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions. Understand how technical decisions impact other teams and recommend opportunities and solutions. Optimize and automate team processes to meet organizational goals. /liliLead implementation reviews (designs, code, operational readiness, deployment plans, system changes) and anticipate patterns that affect performance, reliability, or availability. /liliDrive SOPs, documentation, and runbooks, ensure accuracy, and promote best practices. Actively recruit, interview, coach, and mentor team members; communicate clearly and collaborate to deliver results. /liliOperate with a customer-obsessed mindset, understand customer pain points, and find quick and complete resolutions. Be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and change. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliAdvanced knowledge in Linux system administration /liliSignificant experience of systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc. /liliSignificant experience of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP) /liliExcellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host /liliExperience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and stakeholders /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience of building and operating systems at scale /liliAdvanced knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems /liliSignificant experience of monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar) /li /ulpAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
