We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager within Automotive and Transportation to join our team in Italy.
Job Outline:
The prime responsibility of the role is to drive business development activities for Automotive & Transportation customers within the assigned sales region in EMEA, in alignment with the strategy defined by the Sales Manager Automotive & Transportation EMEA as well as the company’s goals and objectives. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding new and existing opportunities, with a strong focus on strategic customer engagement, design‑in activity, and revenue growth. This role requires close collaboration with regional sales teams, technical resources, and key supplier partners to ensure consistent execution of the Automotive & Transportation business plan. The BDM will act as a market champion and subject‑matter expert for Automotive & Transportation within his sales region. Primary metrics for success should be sales, profitability and demand creation performance along with the company’s network share with the supplier and the regional market.
What the role involves:
Identify, qualify, and develop new Automotive & Transportation business opportunities within the assigned sales region in line with the agreed business plan.
Drive design‑in and demand creation activities by working closely with Field Sales, Inside Sales, and Technical teams.
Execute the Automotive & Transportation sales strategy at a regional and account level.
Actively manage key target accounts with structured penetration plans.
Support regional sales teams through coaching, opportunity reviews, and joint customer visits.
Develop strong working relationships with customers and automotive‑focused suppliers.
