About the role: The Head of Data will lead AC Milan’s data strategy, driving AI, analytics, and technology adoption to optimize fan engagement, commercial growth, and performance analytics.
This role will ensure a centralized data and KPIs approach, integrating insights across departments to unlock long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define AC Milan’s Data & AI Strategy – Establish short and long-term data and AI vision, including budget planning, investment priorities, and ROI measurement.
* Build a Unified Data Ecosystem – Partner with all business teams to standardize data governance and business KPIs, ensuring consistency across the club.
* Own Data & Tech Strategy – Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, budget approval, and integration of data and AI tools across the organization.
* Drive Commercial Impact – Collaborate with commercial teams to deploy AI-driven solutions that enhance fan monetization, ticketing, sponsorships, and sports analytics.
* Lead Implementation & Adoption – Oversee the technical build and ensure seamless business integration, embedding data-driven solutions into daily operations.
* Measure & Optimize ROI – Continuously track, analyze, and report on the impact of data initiatives, ensuring alignment with AC Milan’s business objectives.
* Team Management — Build and manage a team of talented data individuals (e.g., data engineers, data analysts, AI engineers)
Experience & Skills Required:
* 5+ years of experience in data & analytics, preferably in sports, entertainment, or customer-centric industries.
* Strong expertise in data governance, business intelligence (e.g., KPIs standardization), and AI-driven implementations.
* Experience leading cross-functional projects, working closely with marketing, commercial, and performance teams.
* Experience with deploying AI models and implementing into core business processes.
* Fast-paced and results oriented.
* Able to drive and monitor tangible business impact.
* Hands-on skills in SQL, Python, data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) and cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
* Prior experience in fan engagement, customer analytics, or revenue optimization is a strong plus.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
* Fluent in English and Italian (preferred but not mandatory).
* Europe based (Milan preferred)
