About the roleWe are seeking an exceptional Head Pastry Chef to join our talented culinary team at By Suka Collective in Badung, Bali.
As Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading the pastry section and driving the development of innovative and delectable desserts that showcase our commitment to using the finest local and sustainable ingredients.
This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a vibrant, creative environment and be a key part of our growing hospitality business.
What you'll be doingOversee all pastry operations, including menu planning, recipe development and production
Manage and mentor the pastry team, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency and teamwork
Source the best local and seasonal ingredients to create visually stunning and flavourful desserts
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless integration between the pastry section and the broader culinary operations
Monitor stock levels, waste and budgets to maintain tight cost controls
Identify opportunities for process improvements and new menu item development
Lead by example and foster a positive, creative and customer-centric work culture
What we're looking forMinimum 3 years of experience as a Head Pastry Chef or in a similar senior pastry role
Exceptional baking and dessert-making skills with a strong eye for plating and presentation
Experience managing and developing a high-performing pastry team
Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities
