This client is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. As part of an exciting phase of growth, this company is looking for a hands-on senior commercial manager who can work autonomously and drive the development of new verticals. Key Responsibilities: Sales Approach : Drive the development and growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring consistent business expansion in new and existing markets. Business Development : Establish and grow new verticals, contributing to the company's ambition to expand its footprint in Italy. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, luxury goods, etc. Team Leadership : Act as a senior figure in the office, supporting a small but growing team while fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture. Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities, across Italy, with high degree of flexibility with regards to regions of focus. Collaboration with a global leader : Leverage your knowledge and support of a global leader to drive new business and support the company's position in Italy and internationally. Qualifications: Experience : Strong background in ocean freight, a background in air freight is a plus, and any experience in road transport is also beneficial. Specialisation: Experience or specialisation in certain verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods would be advantageous. Geographic Knowledge : Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa or Rome, with the ability to grow business in local territories.
