Descrizione

Duties

* Enter assessment data into school level data management system.
* Organize and maintain assessor files beginning with assessment planning through eligibility completion.
* Assist Special Education Assessors with the administrative functions of the assessment process.
* Coordinate with ISS Special Education for outside evaluation requests.
* Use initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions.
* Work with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator.


Requirements

* Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
* Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
* Direct deposit of pay is required.
* Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
* This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
* Two‑year trial period may be required.


Qualifications

General Experience: One year of general experience in progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of an educational aid, such as preparing letters, schedules and other documents through the use of a personal computer, or assisting with the preparation of instructional materials.

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Compute the percentage by dividing total months of experience by 12, then dividing semester hours by 60, and adding the two percentages.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks.


Foreign Education

Foreign degrees and coursework from non‑accredited institutions must be evaluated before acceptance. Acceptable procedures include: evaluation by a current member of a reviewed institution, translation and authenticated documentation, or evaluation by the graduate division of a regionally accredited university.

Graduates of non‑accredited institutions may have their undergraduate work validated by admission to graduate school and completion of a minimum of 5 semester hours of credit in a regionally accredited graduate college.

Failure to provide all required information may result in an ineligible rating or affect the overall rating.
