DevWorld is looking for a Backend Developer Node.js to join our tech team and help us build scalable, cloud-native solutions. You’ll work on high-impact projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a modern, quality-driven engineering culture.
What you’ll do
* Design, develop, and maintain backend services using JavaScript (Node.js), with a strong focus on asynchronous programming
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs, well documented with Swagger and tested
* Work with MongoDB and relational databases (RDS) to ensure performance and reliability
* Develop and maintain cloud solutions on AWS (Lambda functions, SQS, S3, etc.)
* Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI
* Use Docker for development, testing, and deployment
* Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, embracing TDD and DevOps practices
What we’re looking for
* Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
* Solid experience with asynchronous programming
* Hands‑on experience with MongoDB and relational databases
* Experience working with AWS cloud services
* Good command of Docker and containerized environments
* Daily use of Git, Postman, and Swagger
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
* Good level of spoken and written English
* A team‑oriented mindset and attention to code quality
Nice to have
* Based in or occasionally available in Turin
* Experience with Maven or Gradle
* Previous work on scalable systems or microservices architectures
