Overview and purpose of the role – How you will help us :
The PR and Utility Marketing Manager is a strategic role responsible for managing public relations and marketing efforts within the utility segment. The role includes developing and executing PR strategies to increase brand awareness, enhance reputation, and foster media relationships. It involves creating media networks, securing speaking opportunities, and managing award submissions to increase visibility.
Simultaneously, this position supports expansion into the utility sector by targeting EPCs and investors through tailored marketing campaigns. The manager will work with local marketers to improve market penetration, build relationships, and raise awareness of our solar solutions, leveraging PR initiatives to facilitate market entry and growth.
This role belongs to the Central Solplanet Marketing team with a global scope and reports to the Solplanet Marketing Director.
Key responsibilities include :
* Develop and execute PR strategies to boost brand visibility and reputation.
* Manage media relations and establish a network of journalists, influencers, and industry contacts.
* Increase organic reach through campaigns, press releases, and media engagement.
* Handle brand reputation and crisis communications.
* Coordinate speaking opportunities at industry events.
* Collaborate on joint PR activities with customers.
* Manage award submissions and create advertorials aligned with strategic priorities.
* Support local PR strategies and media network development.
Utility Marketing Management
* Support market penetration in the utility segment targeting EPCs and investors.
* Develop tailored marketing campaigns and materials for the utility sector.
* Analyze market trends to refine strategies.
* Coordinate marketing activities aligned with business objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Support
* Work with sales, product development, and customer support teams.
* Develop integrated communication plans.
* Assist in global marketing initiatives tailored to the utility sector.
Key stakeholders include HQs Marketing Team, Solplanet Central Marketing Team, Content Marketing Team, Local Marketeers, and Utility Sales & Technical Team.
Required qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Business, or related field; Master’s optional.
* At least 5 years of experience in B2B PR and marketing.
* Experience in utility or energy-related marketing is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, content creation experience, proficiency with PR tools, social media expertise, crisis management, strategic planning, data analysis, and collaboration skills.
* Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.
* Proactive, results-oriented, network builder, creative, organized, excellent storyteller, collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable, leadership, problem-solver, ethical standards.
