Responsibilities
As a Patient Placement Counselor, you will:
1. Be a member of a national team utilizing a customer-centered approach to meet with qualified applicants for in-person or virtual/phone assessments using the ASAM 6 dimensions to determine diagnosis, appropriate level of care, and schedule admission.
2. Manage cases by answering questions or concerns during the pre-admission process, including education on treatment experience and patient expectations.
3. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to admitted patient.
4. Conduct assessments to determine program appropriateness and level of care recommendations.
5. Create a client-focused experience for all clients/referents/customers seeking services.
6. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
7. Communicate clearly and promptly with the clinical team and others.
8. Provide crisis management services to prevent or address emergencies.

Qualifications
For Patient Placement Counselor 1:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Active Substance Use Disorder certification or license in the state of employment (e.g., CAP or CAC in FL).
* Proficiency with technology, including documentation in EHR, virtual meetings, and managing emails/calendars.
* CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or ability to attain within 30 days.
For Patient Placement Counselor 2:
* Master's Degree in behavioral health.
* Eligible for license or certification from the appropriate state.
* Same certification and technology requirements as Counselor 1.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Independent Mental Health Licensure such as LPCC, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent.

Salary Range
USD $65,300.00 - USD $88,046.00 per year.
