# Area Sales Manager – Southern Italy Toscana or Marche## Who we are. Our focus is on automating the complete material and data flow of the laser cutting and bending process chain.### In a nutshell### What drives this departmentThe aim of the Sales Department is to sell machines and services and offer our customers meaningful and value-adding solutions. We specialize in providing them with the most advanced technology and products to maximize customer satisfaction.### What you will be doing* Maintain and nurture relationships with regional Bystronic customers, continually assessing their needs for new equipment, software, and educational resources to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.* Identify, contact, and develop new customer prospects to expand the customer base and drive growth.* Lead the machine sales process from initial need identification to final order, effectively utilizing internal resources such as Sales Support and Project Management to ensure a smooth and successful sales journey.* Prepare and execute machine demonstrations in collaboration with reference customers and the Bystronic demo team.* Provide a fact base for and support the creation of the local area sales budget.* Deliver high activity levels, including customer visits, prospect contacts, and customer demos, ensuring all accounts in the region are regularly visited and contacted to never miss a business opportunity.* Proactively share developments and changes in the market, competitor activities, and customer preferences, such as product features and educational materials.### Your education & experience* Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience with direct sales in the metal sheet or capital machinery industries.* Strong background in electro-mechanical engineering.* Proven track record in achieving/exceeding sales targets and market development in the capital machinery sector.* Proficient in task and project management, with basic PC skills (CRM software, Excel, PowerPoint, BI Tools).* Fluent in Italian and conversational in English.### What you need to succeed* Excellent networking, negotiation, and strategic prospecting skills.* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills* Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.* Willingness to travel a minimum of 80% of the time within the specific region, with occasional travel outside the region.### What’s in it for you* Company car.* Management by Objectives/MBO (Variable Bonus).* We offer you freedom and trust: The opportunity to take responsibility and shape your work* You meet international and interdisciplinary projects and collaboration and a great, committed, high-performing team with mutual feedback* We are a fast-growing, international company that is fully committed to innovation, and we cultivate a positive, open corporate culture* Actively shape your future: strong focus on personal and professional development and the opportunity to continuously develop yourself (internal and external trainings).## People power our purposeImagine working in an environment that helps move the company to the next level, where your passion, values, and skills are integral to impacting the sheet metal industry and beyond.
