We’re supporting a fast-growing tech company on the search for an AI Agent Engineer to join their expanding team in Milan.
They’re building next-generation AI solutions that power enterprise agents across chat, voice, email and are now strengthening their Italian engineering hub.
What you’ll do
Design prompts and implement functions that guide AI agents across multiple channels (voice, chat, email)
Integrate with customer APIs, databases, and internal tools so agents can perform real tasks
Test with live data, measure performance, and fine-tune for accuracy and reliability
Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, demo solutions, and iterate quickly
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver production-ready solutions
Contribute to tooling, processes, and documentation that support scalable AI development
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)
Experience in consultancy environments or similar fast-paced settings
Practical experience with Generative AI and building AI components (language agnostic: JS, Python, Go, etc.)
Hands-on experience with APIs, backend logic, and system integrations
Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for applied AI
Experience with LLMs or conversational AI is a strong plus
Offer
Contract: Full-time, permanent (CCNL Commercio)
Location: Hybrid - Milan (3 days/week on-site)
Junior (up to ~2 years exp): €35K/€42K
Mid-level (2/4 years exp): up to ~€55K, depending on skills and scope
Extras: MBO
