Area Account Manager

Location: Hybrid - Office in Milan
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Reason for Role Opening: New position reflecting growth and market expansion
Your Team: An independent contributor, part of a team of about 7 people, including the Channel Director, Key Account Managers, an Application Manager, and Customer Service Managers.

Role Information:
Solutions Driven are thrilled to be working with our valued client for their new Area Account Manager position. The key responsibilities of this role will be to manage channel partners and strengthen these relationships. You will help create an overall sales strategy, build and strengthen new and existing business relationships to meet annual objectives in terms of revenue, value, pricing, and margins. You will define an account plan for the area and update the plan based on market trends and developments. The main market you will be working in will be automotive with a view to expand further into other markets including renewable energy and medical equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities of the Area Account Manager:
Account Plan: Define an account plan (including objectives, forecasts, and budget) in line with other relevant business plans and aligned with direct sales management. After approval, implement the plan and regularly update it based on trend analysis and developments.
Account Management: Maintain relationships with (potential) customers through regular field visits, monitor developments and performance (e.g., customers' financial performance), and act as a business partner for assigned accounts. Ensure agreed follow-up actions are taken.
Analysis: Proactively analyze customer product and service needs and monitor market developments (new technologies, competition, etc.) and report internally.
New Business: Develop new customer relationships, identify and realize new business opportunities in cooperation with other functional disciplines (e.g., technical marketing), and ensure business deals are closed (translate agreements with customers into a formal contract approved by all parties).
Stakeholder Management: Map customer stakeholders, develop, build, and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
Reporting: Ensure periodic reports (quantitative and qualitative) according to defined formats and procedures.
