This position is located at the La Bella Vista Club.
\n
This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy.
\n
Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours.
\n
Duties
\n
Operates a full service bar.
\n
Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
\n
Beverages include but are not limited to Margaritas, for which no pre-mix is available, Zombies, Singapore Slings, etc.
\n
Delivers drinks to bar waiters, or serves directly to patrons.
\n
Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate.
\n
Washes glasses and other bar equipment.
\n
Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks.
\n
May help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions.
\n
Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability.
\n
Accepts money, operates a cash register, and makes change.
\n
May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
\n
Performs other duties as assigned.
\n

Qualifications

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number.

In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card.

Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base.
\n
Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas.
\n
Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country.
\n
The 31ST Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support.
\n
Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks.
\n
Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.
\n
