The BDM will directly report to the Country Manager of Italy and will identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and support business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify potential key clients and the decision makers within the client organizationGenerate leads and contact cold calling prospective customersNurture and develop relationships with key customer accountsMeet with customers/clients face to face or over the phoneUnderstand the customers’ needs to respond effectively to their requestsPrepare presentations and write reportsNegotiate pricing with clients in line with internal guidelines· Make sales projections and forecast revenue· Manage stock effectively Meet all reporting deadlines with accuracy (e.G., call reporting, pipeline reporting, etc)REQUIREMENTSAt least 2 years of experience in the lighting or shopfitting for retail marketStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and open-minded personalityWilling to learn and follow instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Fluency in Italian and English; other European languages is a plusWillingness to travel nationally and internationallyYour personality, motivation and competitive spirit is what matters most. Therefore, different levels of experience in sales positions will be evaluated. A good book of contacts in retail market is also looked a plus.
