Job Purpose
Develop and administer field sales plans and processes to achieve revenue growth, enhance customer retention and acquisition, and increase lead conversion in the Lombardy region, in line with the business strategy, financial objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
Key Tasks
Deliver sales objectives and revenue growth for the geographic region of responsibility.
Secure new business and build on existing core business through repeat orders.
Respond to inquiries, resolve problems, promote and sell products and services.
Identify and contact prospective customers and build relationships to generate future sales and repeat business.
Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable products or alternatives.
Develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, and conduct product demonstrations.
Follow up prospects, develop terms of sale, and close business by connecting customer needs with DHL solutions.
Introduce products and promotions and deploy marketing campaigns as appropriate.
Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about their business and market.
Coordinate with internal teams—sales, marketing, operations, and service management—to enhance sales and customer retention.
Support customer retention by ensuring service satisfaction and introducing additional services.
Identify problems beyond own authority and modify work methods accordingly.
Convince external parties (e.g., skeptical customers, institutions) to adopt proposals or meet decision-making standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
3+ years of sales experience within the air freight forwarding industry.
At least B2 level of English.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency with Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
Customer orientation and problem solving.
Autonomy and time management.
Proactivity and energy.
