From the division Sunset Hotels & Resorts, we are looking for Director of Sales for METT Milan Torre Velasca, our new Residences and Suites project, in the iconic Torre Velasca building in the heart of Milan.
This role will lead the sales strategy for the luxury segment, focusing on key international markets and cultivating strong partnerships with top-tier consortia and travel brands.
Main responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the METT brand positioning, annual sales plan, and revenue objectives to achieve budgeted targets.
Identify, attract, and grow business from new and existing luxury leisure accounts across key markets (US, UK, Italy, and Europe) to increase market share.
Manage and strengthen long-term relationships with top-tier clients, luxury consortia, tour operators, and strategic partners.
Drive revenue growth within the high-end leisure segment by converting new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
Lead client interactions, including sales presentations, contract negotiations, business reviews, and ongoing account performance evaluations.
Analyze client needs, travel trends, and market data to develop tailored luxury experiences and bespoke commercial strategies in collaboration with Marketing and Revenue Management.
Represent METT Milan at international luxury travel trade shows, roadshows, and networking events, ensuring strong brand visibility within key luxury travel networks.
Manage FIT and Leisure Group accounts, ensuring follow-up and conversion to achieve budgeted revenues.
Monitor market conditions and competitor activity, including pricing, market share, and positioning, to identify sales opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Develop and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives, providing regular performance reports and strategic recommendations by account.
Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (FIT, tour operators, consortia, corporate, groups, etc.).
Manage budgets for sales initiatives, promotions, and commercial activities.
Coordinate with external partners such as advertising, public relations agencies, and market research firms to support commercial objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Hospitality Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position in hospitality industry (5* Hotel or resort)
Fluent in Italian & English.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the brand at international events and fairs.
Strong connections to luxury agencies and fashion houses in Milan.
Good understanding of the Milan market and local hospitality landscape.
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
Strong planning and budgetary skills
Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in luxury hospitality environments
Availability to travel frequently
