The Director of Housekeeping plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for hotel guests and employees. This leadership position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the Housekeeping Department.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the staff of the Housekeeping Department, including interviewing, training, scheduling, conducting performance evaluations, and disciplining staff as needed.
* Ensure seamless communication with guests, resolving complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the hotel, including Guest Rooms, Public Areas, and Employee Areas.
* Direct the efforts of the Laundry / Valet Department, working closely with outside contractors to ensure quality and timeliness of work.
* Prepare annual budgets for labor and operating expenses, monitoring and controlling divisional expenses such as uniforms, linen, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and contract services.
* Maintain accurate inventory records, participating in periodic linen, uniform, and supplies inventories.
* Take action in all matters related to safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being of hotel guests and employees, responding swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of housekeeping experience.
* Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of division operations and Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
* Ability to read, write, and speak English.
* A flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
