Activities and Responsibilities
Market Development & Customer Care:
* Active management and development of existing customer relationships
* Identification and acquisition of new customers within defined target segments
* Regular on-site customer visits and ongoing support via phone and email.
Sales Strategy Execution & Revenue Targets:
* Execution of the Client’s sales strategy in the Italian market
* Responsibility for achieving agreed revenue targets and KPIs
* Ongoing market and competitor monitoring with structured reporting to the Client.
Quotation & Contract Support:
* Preparation and follow-up of quotations
* Support of contract negotiations and closing preparations in alignment with the Client.
Interfaces & Reporting:
* Close collaboration with Customer Service, Marketing, and Product Management
* Regular reporting on market and customer developments, visit reports, and forecasts
* Preparation of business cases and presentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Representation & Trade Fairs:
* Representation of the Client at trade fairs, industry events, and customer functions.
Willingness to travel frequently across Italy for customer visits, events, and trade fairs.
Profile
* Completed degree in Business, Management, or a comparable qualification
* 3–5 years of professional experience in Business Development; proven industry experience in the packaging/industrial sector – a must
* Strong knowledge of the Italian market
* Strong hunter mentality: you enjoy acquiring new customers, building networks, and actively developing business opportunities
* Results-oriented, proactive, and independent working style
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels
* Entrepreneurial mindset and strong analytical abilities
* High level of initiative, team spirit, and goal orientation
* Excellent English and Italian skills, both written and spoken.
