Business Development Manager

Markem-Imaje delivers fully integrated solutions that enable product quality and safety, regulatory and retailer compliance, better product recalls, and improved manufacturing processes.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Markem-Imaje’s solutions to customers in Italy. The role involves managing all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and new business development to opportunity management.
What you will do
* Understand the business strategies of target accounts, especially regarding serialization and the UniSecure solution
* Act as the main point of contact within target accounts for positioning and selling Markem-Imaje’s Serialization Product Tracking solutions
* Develop and execute an annual business plan to guide and measure your progress
* Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and other communications
* Conduct review sessions and roundtable discussions with target accounts
* Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your target accounts, influencing their serialization strategies
* Collaborate with Product Managers and Directors to align resources and product offerings for value creation
* Maintain communication with customers and Professional Services to ensure alignment on expectations, timelines, costs, and results, directing operational issues appropriately
* Report regularly to the Sales Director and senior management
* Stay informed about product packaging trends and industry developments
* Maintain accurate forecasts and account records in the CRM system; report on sales activities
What you need to have
* Experience in consultative selling of solutions that combine products and enterprise software services
* A proven track record of exceeding sales targets
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
* Strong communication skills, leadership, and negotiation abilities
* Intermediate proficiency in English
