For an international Food Ingredients Distributor operating in Europe and Africa, we are looking for a
Technical Sales Manager Food Ingredients
You will sell value-added Food Ingredients to the Food and Beverage Industry in Italy. The position is home office-based. You will be responsible for business development of a selection of food ingredients across different branches of the food industry.
Tasks
* Analyze the market and the product range of our suppliers to identify new potentials
* Develop market strategies, and handle purchasing and selling of assigned product groups in Italy
* Build close relationships with suppliers and customers
* Visit customers, analyze their needs, and create value propositions
* Participate in production trials at customer sites and implement small-scale trials in application kitchens
* Manage projects in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager
* Align sales strategies for product groups with Category Managers and the Country Manager
* Discover and understand customer needs to develop tailored solutions
* Conduct lab, small-scale, or industrial trials with customers
* Follow up on offers, payments, etc.
* Develop and execute sales budgets and forecasts
Requirements
* Degree in Food Technology
* Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
* High willingness to travel
* Highly organized, reliable, and positive attitude
* Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
* Valid driving license
