We are seeking a Production Area Manager to lead and develop specific department of our production operations, ensuring a safe and efficient manufacturing process and a performing team. In the fast-paced environment of chemical manufacturing, the production area manager plays a critical role in managing employees and organizing workflows to optimize daily activities while controlling costs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex operations and demonstrate the ability to drive safety, productivity and quality. The ultimate objective is to ensure that production processes consistently deliver high-quality products in a cost-effective and profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Organize and develop production activities to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
* Lead, motivate, and manage production teams to meet production targets, quality standards, and deadlines.
* Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
* Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
* Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
* Ensure proper training and development of team members to maintain high performance and technical competence.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
* Prepare and maintain production reports, documentation, and compliance records.
* Promote a culture of safety, proactivity, and accountability within the production area.
Qualifications And Skills
* Master’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
* Proven experience of 3-5 years in a supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing plant operations and maintenance practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Preferred experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
