ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates; your main focus will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. You are responsible for engaging your team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement. You will provide associates with the tools needed for success and drive productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. This role is located in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
* Developing performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
* Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
* Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
* Building and executing productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Area Managers to balance labor
* Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
* Communicating policies to associates and acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
* Ensuring procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
* Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs
* Hands‑on role: working closely with the team on the shop floor to solve problems and remove barriers
* Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and well‑being
* Analyse and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level
* Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
* Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
* Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
* 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
* Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
* Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
* Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
* Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
